We are here, we are queer, and it’s time for Queer Pride Groningen 2023!

We’ve all been through a heavy couple of years, due to the pandemic and other political situations (thanks, late-stage capitalism!). Although we realize that we still have a way to go until our community is safe, respected and protected, we want to take QPG2023 as a moment to celebrate and uplift one another. Radical joy is our motto, and we are here to revel!

For QPG2023, we will bring you an on-point demonstration once again, with a moment for community bonding afterward. Keep an eye on our event for further details. For now, here’s what you need to know:

COVID-19:
The pandemic is not over, and we will be taking precautions to ensure a safe event for everyone, including our disabled and immunocompromised siblings.

ACCESSIBILITY:
We aim to organize as accessibly as possible.

  • The march route (2 km) is wheelchair accessible
  • We are currently searching for sign-language interpreter, we will post an update when we have found one
  • Space for sitting (on the floor) will be indicated
  • Ear plugs & a quieter spot will be available

SET-UP & ROUTE
This will be our set-up on the Grote Markt:

There will be marked areas for standing and seating, as well as a quieter area in the back of the crowd. In the one side of the protest, we will have info stalls by different activist organizations In the including QPG.

And this will be the route we take for our march:

Our route takes us once through the city center. It is pretty exactly 2 km long and wheelchair accessible.
